Project Overview
Ayers House was the family residence of Sir Henry Ayers, seven-time Premier of South Australia, and stands as one of Adelaide’s finest examples of Victorian domestic architecture. Constructed in several stages from 1855, the house was progressively expanded and richly decorated, featuring ornate painted finishes and refined interior detailing throughout.
DASH Architects prepared an updated Conservation Management Plan and Heritage Asset Survey to assist the Department for Environment and Water in the long-term conservation and strategic management of this significant State Heritage Place.
In addition, DASH has undertaken a series of refurbishment and repair projects, ensuring the ongoing preservation of the building’s heritage fabric and the enduring expression of its historical and cultural values.
