Project Overview
DASH Architects’ involvement in the Eastern Fleurieu R–12 School upgrades encompassed the full journey from master planning through to project delivery. As with all projects of this nature, the brief was complex — to provide contemporary, flexible learning environments that respond to evolving pedagogical models while creating a visually distinctive statement symbolising the campus’s generational renewal.
Working closely with the school community, DASH Architects and our specialist educational planners collaborated to refine and expand the brief, maximising functional and flexible teaching spaces within a fixed project budget. Our process included intensive design workshops with teaching staff, timetable reviews, and detailed spatial analyses to ensure every space supported adaptable, student-centred learning.
The project was delivered on time and within budget, achieving a level of accommodation and design quality typically well beyond what would be expected for the available resources — a testament to the value of thoughtful planning, collaboration, and design excellence.
